African Union Communications (AUCOM) is a broadcast and telecommunications technology company delivering integrated infrastructure solutions across Africa. Founded in 1999, AUCOM brings more than 25 years of experience in broadcast systems, satellite distribution, Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT), Direct-to-Home satellite (DTH), OTT and IPTV platforms, production and playout infrastructure, system integration and long-term technical support.

Since 1999, AUCOM has worked with broadcasters, telecommunications providers, governments and media organisations across African markets. Our experience includes satellite distribution networks, multi-channel digital television platforms, DTT and DTH systems, contribution links, head-end infrastructure and complex broadcast technology environments.

AUCOM supports broadcast and telecommunications infrastructure throughout the complete technology lifecycle — from initial system architecture and equipment selection through integration, installation, commissioning, training, monitoring, maintenance and long-term technical support.

Over the last few years, the company successfully provided complete Multi-Channel Digital Free-to-Air and Pay TV Head-End Systems to customers including Sentech, MultiChoice, MultiChoice Africa, NBC, RTD, TV Cabo and other operators in Africa.

Our services incorporated design, integration, installation, support and maintenance of Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) projects. Additional support services for these existing customers are provided by AUCOM, with full back-up support from our International Suppliers and their support offices located in the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States.

AUCOM is also an authorised or certified repair provider for selected international original equipment manufacturers, enabling customers to access specialist technical expertise and local support for critical broadcast infrastructure.

Aucom is a certified repairer for several overseas original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s).
